Well it is now the first week of Febuary, 2012, and it feels like april already. The temperate conditions are thankfully helping out some of the items we've been struggling with since the first real blast of cold weather last month. Squash, Eggplant, Beans, and Tomaotes are all back down closer to normal pricing. The good news continues though, lots of items are doing very well this week - Brussels Sprouts dropped about $10 / case, Asparagus is cheap again, Iceberg Lettuce and Romaine Hearts are down too!

Locally, we're still in a weird transitional time with winter crops going and some spring stuff starting to come in... Our local farmers are bouncing back quickly with this nice weather though, and the list is building back up weekly. Look out for tons of great early spring stuff right around the corner! That's all for now, Happy Cooking!
